The history of Gibb’s Cheese as they’re known today dates back to the 1850’s when a man named James Gibbs expanded his business from Fairview, Indiana to Cincinnati after having great success in selling his butter and egg products along the Ohio River Valley. The Gibbs family business has long thrived in Cincinnati and in 1922 Findlay Market became their permanent location. Today Gibb’s Cheese is operated and owned by fifth-generation family member Jeff Gibbs who still deals in the very same trades as that of his forefathers alongside selling a wide variety of cheeses, deli meats, and his deliciously authentic peanut butter made completely of peanuts with no other additives.
