What is a tea pet?
Tea pets are small figurines traditionally made of clay, and are the cutest addition to your tea time. They typically sit on a tea tray where they can be exposed to the fragrance of tea and absorb any spills. As your tea pets drink along with you, they will begin to have a tea essence and gain a smooth texture. Tea pets are used in traditional Chinese Tea ceremonies to provide company and bring good fortune to the drinker. Some believe that pouring tea over your tea pet will feed its soul.
